Start Time: 10:00am Saturday Sept 18th       –    End time: 6:00pm Sunday Sept 19th

Site is DISCREETLY DAMP (see Lunch Tavern) and open to the public.

Site is RUSTIC and on the water – dress warmly and for the weather.

Fees: Daytrip: $8/adult, $4/adolescent (between ages 13 and 17), kids free.

Camping: $10/adult, $5/adolescent,  kids free.

Non-Member Surcharge: $5

Activities

Archery: Straight range practices only, though a tourney could be organized by participants.  Feel free to bring novelty targets.  Marshall: Forester Eamon MacGowan of Sligo

Fencing/Heavy Fighting: The tennis court supplies two fenced-in lists, for pickup fighing. Fencing Marshall: TBA.  Heavy Fighting Marshall: Titus Decimus Brutus. 

Children’s Activities: Full enclosed play area with new equipment; fishing derby from 10am to 12pm.   More activities planned, dependent upon attendance.

*Merchants: in lieu of site fee for the merchant and up to two assistants, $20 of wares per merchanting tent has been requested as a donation, to be raffled off, with proceeds going to the Royal Travel Fund.

*Classes:  TBA:  So far, a circle dance class, a class on early viking/saxon costume and accessories, how to make a felt wool ball, a music/filk writing workshop, and perhaps a stained glass class.

Those who teach classes will get 50 percent off their site fee, and may charge materials fees to students.

*Lunch Tavern will be handled by the Lion’s Club of Lighthouse Cove.  They will be serving sausages and burgers, water and pop, starting at noon on Saturday.  They also will be running a ‘beer tent’, which opens at 2pm and runs until 8.  During that time, alcohol purchased at the beer tent must be consumed within the proscribed area. All other such beverages must be kept discreet.

Cost: $5/diner … no kids’ pricing as we are using bread bowls and cannot halve them.

Menu:

 On the table: pickles, cheese, bread and butter, salad, beef  and sweet potato stew in bread bowl ( contains marsala which contains egg) or vegetarian stew in bread bowl

blueberry peach cobbler for desert with ice cream (vegan)

Please RSVP before September 16th, by contacting Rhianna, and call ahead if you have allergies or menu questions – accommodations can and will be made if you call early enough.

Bonfire and bardic circle at sundown, both days.

Warning: As the site is on the water, it is likely to be cold at night.  Take appropriate precautions.

*Directions to site (UPDATED as of Apr 29th):

From London (146 km)

Take 401 west toward Windsor to Tilbury (120km)
Take exit 56 for Essex Rd 42(.5km)
Turn right at County Rd-42/King’s Hwy 2 (.2km)

OR

From Windsor (60 km)

Take 401 East toward London (43.7km)
Take exit 56 for Essex Rd 42(.5km)
Turn Left at County Rd-42/King’s Hwy 2 (.2km)

Then…

Turn North at County Rd 37* (Gracey Sideroad).
Turn Right at County Rd 2*
Turn Left onto County Rd 39* (Lighthouse Road)
Follow the S-curve to the right, then left … the road will eventually become Tisdelle Dr.
Turn left at Melody Dr (at the corner store/liquor store)
Take the 3rd driveway on the left – sign will say Lion’s Club Community Park.

SCA signs will be placed at major intersections along the route. Drivers are asked to use their best judgement – these directions are not necessarily the shortest, but are the least complicated to follow.
An asterisk (*) indicates that there is a directional sign saying `Lighthouse Cove’ at this intersection.
